We are a small but mighty 501(c)3 non profit organization that has been working with refugee families and assisting them with the difficult task of resettling in the greater Des Moines metro area.

We began in Spring of 2023 by assisting an Afghan family of 15 resettle in the Des Moines area after being flown out of Afghanistan by the US government in recognition of service to the US military.

In March 2025 our family of 15 with help from our wonderful donors were able to purchase their home.

However

In January 2025 federal funding changed and most refugee assistance programs ceased. We are working to fill that gap and together, we can create a brighter future for this community in need.

Our long-term goal is to ultimately help refugees build a new life with permanent housing and successfully integrate them into the community as settled, productive and valued members of society.

We strive to encourage financial education and guidance to help refugees become financially independent.

So far in 2025 we have assisted 47 refugees in the Des Moines area stay in their homes and not become part of the growing homeless population.
